University of East Londonは、100年の歴史を持つ近代的で活気あふれる大学です。学生数は12,000名を数え、3つあるキャンパスは全てセントラルロンドンからほど近い場所に位置しています。ＵＥＬは、産業・経済界の時流に遅れることなく、様々な分野において革新的な研究を進めてきました。 Information and Communications Technology(情報通信技術)が多くのコースに組み込まれていることからもその事実がうかがえるでしょう。大学での研究に対するアプローチは学術的かつ実践的で、非常に高い評価を受けています。 1999年には、ドックランドキャンパスがオープン。ロンドンでは50年ぶりに誕生した新キャンパスで、現在開発が進むドックランド地区の中でその近代的なデザインがひときわ目をひきます。キャンパスは国際漕艇コースを臨むウォーターフロントに位置し、近くにはテムズバリアーやミレニアムドーム、カナリーワーフなどがあります。ドックランドキャンパスには School of Architecture(建築学部)とSchool of Art and Design(アート＆デザイン学部)の学部がおかれており、キャンパス内には、384人収容の学生寮も新設されました。ＵＥＬは、国際色も豊かで100以上の国々から留学生を迎えています。 ●University of East Londonの特徴： 　Why University of East London? 高い評価を受けているさまざまなコース School of Architecture(建築学部)は、HEFCEの最高ランクである「excellent」に位 置付けられ、学部レベルから博士号レベルまで、そのコースの多様性には極めて高い評価が与えられています。 School of Art and Design(アート＆デザイン学部)は、多くの優秀な学生を輩出してきました。特にDesign with Marketingプログラムは、ファッション業界からも高い関心が寄せられています。 School of Psychology(心理学部)は、1999年のQuality Assurance Agency for Higher Educationにおいて、24ポイント中23ポイントの高得点をあげました。また、臨床心理学、教育心理学、職業心理学、カウンセリング、ガイダンスなど専門心理学において、幅広いプログラムが提供されていることも高く評価されています。 Department of Cultural Studiesは、メディア研究プログラムでその名を知られています。 ドックランドのはずれとロンドン中心部にキャンパスを持つEast London Business Schoolは、最先端の研究および情報収集を行っており、特に大学院教育課程が注目されています。 ● コースリスト Course List： BSc Hons Architecture/ Diploma in Architecture/ MA Architecture: Sustainability/ MSc Architecture: Conservation/ M.
