She did everything short of pouring lighter fluid on the Republican leadership. They're not going to confirm her. They're going to make us look bad doing it and we still got a half a new Cabinet to confirm.

彼女は共和党のリーダーたちにライターで火をつけたようなものなんだから彼らが彼女を承認するはずがないだろう。彼女を推した我々が共和党議員たちに叩かれるだけだ。それに内閣の役職の半分の指名を承認させなきゃならいんだから。
