Ｑ．ご自身のポジションについてお聞かせ下さい。
Ａ．私は、音楽と映画部門を統括するヴァージン・エンターテイメント・ジャパン社の社長を務めています。さらにヴァージン・パブの社長と、ヴァージンコーラ社の役員も兼任しています。

Ｑ．事業の規模はどれぐらいですか。
Ａ．現在、ヴァージンメガストアが27店鋪（今月出店する、蒲田店と盛岡店をあわせると29店）、そしてマルチプレックス・シネマ（複合型映画館）が3館あります。こちらは年内にさらに５館オープンする予定です。

Ｑ．現在はどんなプロジェクトを手掛けていますか。
Ａ．ヴァージンシネマ（映画館）とヴァージンメガストアの出店以外に、新ビジネスとしてインターネットや携帯電話のようなテレコミュニケーションの事業開発が進行中です。

Talking about Today

Q. What does your company do?
A. Many things, from an airline to a cola. We have Megastores, Cinemas, a record company and even an English pub. That's just in Japan. In England, we have many other companies like financial services, a railway, mobile phones and others.

Q. What's your role/position within the company?
A. I am president of Virgin Entertainment Japan which is the parent company of Virgin Megastores and Virgin Cinemas. I also am president of Virgin Pubs and am a board member of Virgin Cola.

Q. How big is it? Are there any interesting facts about your organization?
A. We now have 27 Megastores (29 in a month as we open in Kamata and Morioka). We also have 3 multiplex cinemas with 5 more planned this year.

Q. What are the main projects you are currently involved in?
A. Apart from all the new cinemas and stores, we are developing new businesses like telecommunications, the internet and mobile phones.

Q. What are your biggest concerns?
A. That I will have enough time with my wife and 18-month old daughter.
